Okay so you've chosen the type of enclosure you want, now how do you set it up? You could ask a pet-store for advice, but they'd give you wrong info as they know very little about reptiles.

So how do you set it up correctly? Well for the substrate or bedding you'll want a non particle substrate, preferably non adhesive shelf liner, tile, white paper towels, non toxic newspaper, reptile carpets, or AstroTurf, theres a somewhat wide variety of safe substrates to choose from.

Once you've chosen your choice of substrate you'll need to find a good basking log/rock, a hide, and a food bowl and maybe some decor like fake leaves or logs to rub against in shedding or mix of both.
Now the basking log or rock should be on one side of the enclosure where the heat lamp would be, the food bowl on the other side where the cool side should be next to the hide. And the decor can be anywhere as long as theres still enough floor space and it doesn't exactly get it the way of anything.
